I believe that all students can and should learn! I was inspired to become a teacher after having an exceptional teacher as a third grader. Mrs. Corrine Glynn inspired me to work hard and to use my imagination. My mother was also an inspiration as she was a teacher as well. In high school, I was a lifeguard and we were required to teach swimming lessons and I realized how much I enjoyed helping kids learn. I also taught lessons in Fargo at NDSU.
I attended NDSU in Fargo and graduated with a B.S. in education and a minor in Child Development. Post Grad I obtained my middle school endorsement and minors in both Math & Science.
My first teaching job was at Agassiz Middle School in Fargo. I also taught in Verona and Oakes School Systems. I have been teaching in LaMoure since August of 2008. I enjoy the kids here and the shorter commute.
I have two daughters, Maddie & Josie, and also both parents living in LaMoure. My siblings live in Bismarck and Beulah. I am the second of five children. I enjoy spending time with my kids, friends, and family. I enjoy working out, reading, and being outside.
My goal is to instill a love of learning in kids. I want kids to “think” and “work hard” to obtain their goals! I am usually available at the school before and after school. Feel free to stop in and say “hi”, or to ask any questions you have about your child.
