Teacher spotlight of the week: Mrs. Tricia Lebahn Music grades 4-12 Mrs. Lebahn’s Music teaching career started in Bristol, SD where she taught K-12 music from 1998-2000. She did substitute teaching for Valley City, ND and the surrounding areas until 2001 when she became the music teacher for Maple Valley School (Including Buffalo, Oriska and Tower City.) In 2007 she took the 4-12 Music Teacher position in LaMoure and remains in that position yet today. Mrs. Lebahn has been married to her husband, Neil, for 26 years and they have 2 children, Dane and Alana. Mrs. Lebahn earned her degree at Valley City State University holding a Bachelor’s Degree in both K-12 Music and Elementary Education. When she’s not busy teaching young minds to appreciate the fine arts, she likes to spend time with her horses, Magnum and Jester, and her dog Buster. She also enjoys flower gardening, reading, practicing piano and working in the yard and on the farm with her family. She also stated she likes to watch “Dateline” Crime shows. She said the best advice she can give is to love the Lord, praise Him and thank Him for all your blessings. Give compliments, as the joy you give to others brings that joy back to you! Accept compliments with a smile and a “thank you!” Push through fear and anxiety to do something you never thought you could do……the next time will be easier. Be humble. Have good manners. Stand up for those who have been mistreated. Treat all with kindness! We’ve never seen your cape or mask, but we see your superpowers every day! Thanks for being a super teacher!!
